Ary, from the Mirrorshards manga. The newer 'simplistic' ('unrealistic'? ) style is one that I'm intending to use for the manga itself, since simple art worked for Spread Your Wings, and I don't think I have the skill for complex realistic manga art.
The theme song, in a sense, for Mirrorshards is 'Imaginary' (Evanescence).
i really like this style of "simplistic". it's unique and it's still really beautiful and attractive to the eye. it doesn't need to be complex to still be effective

Wee, no more handy error =X but you're missing that signature dot, intentional I suppose.

Is it just me, or you have a tendency to block-ise the hands (even in your previous works, I notice)? It's not just the finger joints, even the shadows are a bit blocky... I don't mean it like anything is wrong down here - seriously!
Also, am I to say something about the right arm of Ary being way too straight in this instance? Probably what you're saying about "simplicity" is showing in here, but then again, it could be llyse being llyse =X
I liked the color scheme for Ary, but it so reminds me of GSD for some reason. No prizes for guessing who.

Hmm, I don't know, I didn't really notice the hands. Eeep. I can't tell. D:
Heh, that's exactly what my brother said about her arms. It's partially the style, yeah, (because 'simple' kind of translates to 'stick-figure', yay) but probably also because the arms are kind of too long. D:
The character colours are kind of important/symbolic in Mirrorshards--Ary's is dark red and black, darkening as the story progresses, for reasons that will become clear in the end. GSD--oh, well, bleah?
yoshi!! ... yeah, i love this pic very much!! like the colours, and hexagonal texture.. i prefer this much more to the last pic. it was a little too messy(the colours are overcrowded)
okie then, have a nice day!
